Shop Social Good was dreamed up during the 2017 holiday season while I was looking for gifts for family and friends. I really wanted to direct my spending towards companies that, in addition to providing a great product, were also doing some good in the world. However, I couldn’t find a single source that listed these types of companies. I started to put together a list of social good and socially conscious companies I found along the way. One thing led to another… and voila! Shop Social Good was born!
My mindset it that, if you’re going to spend the money anyway, why not spend it on companies and products that make it part of their mission to make the world a better place? My hope is that you find the information on this site helpful as we try to become more intentional and conscious consumers together.
My goal for the website is to eventually create a directory of social good and socially conscious companies that can be easily findable. For now, I’m just enjoying discovering new companies that produce great products and help people and the planet along the way.
